The state ceremony marking the 113th anniversary of Albania’s Independence took place today in Vlorë, one of the central events of November 28. At the Monument of Independence, officials performed formal rituals honoring the founders of the Albanian state.

During the ceremony, state leaders laid wreaths in tribute and the National Anthem was performed solemnly, reflecting the historic significance of the occasion.

Among the high-ranking officials present were:

  • Prime Minister, Edi Rama
  • Speaker of Parliament, Niko Peleshi
  • President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani
  • Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu
  • Mayor of Vlorë, Brunilda Mersini, and others

The official program also included tributes at the grave of Ismail Bej Vlora, a key leader of the 1912 declaration of independence, recognizing his pivotal role in the creation of the Albanian state.
