A total of 1,970,944 citizens are eligible to vote in Kosovo’s parliamentary elections on February 9, spread across 903 polling centers with 2,533 polling stations. Among them, 125,852 young voters will cast their ballots for the first time.

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has confirmed that citizens can vote even if their identity cards have expired. Additionally, KQZ will print 323,218 fewer ballots—15.57% less than the total number of registered voters—following previous electoral practices.

On election day, 941 polling centers will be operational, including 38 centers dedicated to conditional voting, with 56 polling stations available for this process. More than 12,000 officials will be engaged in the 2,533 regular polling stations, while over 200 will oversee conditional voting stations.

A key change in this election is the ballot counting process. On election day, only the section of the ballot indicating political party votes will be counted at polling stations, allowing KQZ to release preliminary results more quickly. The following day, the votes for individual parliamentary candidates will be counted at Municipal Counting Centers.

These centers, primarily located in sports halls, have been designated by KQZ in each municipality.
