It’s been 14 years since the death of one of the most exalted figures of Albanian acting, Bekim Fehmiut.
He left outstanding works behind him, both in foreign and Albanian cinematography.
Fehmiu reached his peak with the film “Feather Collectors” in 1966. By that time, he had studied and become known by many film houses around the world.
He is the first Albanian film and theater actor, who has successfully played in films and stages throughout the former Yugoslavia.
Some of Bekim Fehmi’s most popular roles are “Prova speciale”, “Odyssea”, “Adventurieri”, “Rruga”, “Vitet e nzehta”, “Dezertori”.
Fehmiu has collaborated with well-known names of world cinema such as John Huston, Olivia de Havilland, Ava Gardner, Robert Shaw, Dirk Bogarde and Irene Papas. “Feather Collectors”, in 1966. Until that time, he had studied and was made popular by many film houses around the world.
