23 thousand customers in the north of the country are mobilized with electricity, but a small part of their little ones pay. This was announced by the official of the Energy Regulatory Office (Ero), Petrit Pepaj.
He said that with the licensing of the Serbian company, Elektrosever consumption in the part has decreased compared to previous years, while mentioning the obligation that the Serbian company has to ERO to report monthly.
“Electrosever, as you know, licensed by the Energy Regulatory Office, according to the laws of the Republic of Kosovo. As a result of this electric license, the government is obliged to report every month. The first 113 years of his life are 8 million euros, and the collection has filled, a little limping in terms of classation somewhere are631 thousand collected from that energy which is fated”, said pepaj.
Pepaj reports that in the north of Mitrovica, there is a small life that pays for electricity, adding that from 2017 to the energy life.

Elektroserver has the right to take all possible measures for all customers who do not pay. So far, the Elektroserver has not started disconnecting customers for non-payment of electricity, because it is the stage of implementation setting sat meter some customers did not have meter some others had meter not suitable for measurement. Does it mean the process of setting meters, the registration of tires, the creation of the database and the issuance of invoices for electricity payment”, said Pepaj.
He pointed out that there is no electricity furnishing for those enterprises that abuse energy or do not pay for electricity.
“While the Elektroserver is not licensed in that part there was no enterprise that was licensed to perform activity in the energy sector in that part for electricity supply and distribution, because the operators that are licensed in that part did not have access to the northern part and that energy is to be taken but is not billed. Usually the undertakings for the furnishing of electricity of the commercial company and the electricity company of electricity”, he emphasized.
Also, Pepaj stated that with the ban on cryptocurrencies consumption in that part has remained compared to the previous years.
“We as regulators create the work, how much information we have based on the report that we send, we only see the number of customers and we do not know what activities they perform. Consumers are divided into household customers who have the use of electricity for family needs, and those customers who have it for commercial needs such as businesses operating in that part. Usually with the beginning of operations and everything you see that with the ban on cryptocurrencies you see that consumption in part has remained compared to the previous years,” said Pepaj.
Further, Pepaj has said that for those customers who do not meet the conditions for measurement are billed lump sums. But for those who have electricity, it is more expensive than others.
“Based on the data I recently received from Elektrosever, it is estimated that there are about 23 thousand customers in the North. On the basis of the law on the language, the Serbian language and its alphabet in the official language of the Republic of Kosovo, the consumer belongs to the Kosovo establishment. In that part of the factitious should hold elements of both Albanian and Serbian language. Energy billing has started in its soul, but if it goes to memory, it cannot be remembered exactly. Based on the information we have the facts where there is no measurement, or if the unit does not meet the conditions for measurement, it is billed lump sum, while in the part where electricity consumption is made with measurement is with a tariff scheme in which the Electrosever uses, which is the same with me the tariff structure that the citizens of the rest of the Republic Of Kosovo pay”, he said.
