At the request of the defense teams of Hashim Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi, 261 documents that do not pertain to any witness testimony have been admitted as evidence in the case in which Thaçi and Krasniqi, together with Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi, are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

This was confirmed by the spokesperson for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC), Angela Griep, who added that an additional 49 documents were rejected on the grounds that they were not relevant to the charges.

“On December 1, the Trial Panel partially granted a request from Krasniqi’s defense to admit 144 materials not related to any witness testimony. The Panel admitted 112 of these materials as evidence and rejected 32. The Panel also partially granted Thaçi’s defense request to admit 166 materials not connected to any witness testimony. Of these, 149 were admitted, while 17 were rejected because they were deemed irrelevant to the crimes charged or because the defense did not explain their relevance to any fact or circumstance in this case,” said Griep.

Furthermore, on December 3, 2025, the Trial Panel issued a decision regarding agreed facts: 29 were verified, while 20 were not accepted due to lack of agreement between the parties, according to Betimi për Drejtësi.

In the case of Hashim Thaçi, Isni Kilaj, Bashkim Smakaj, Fadil Fazliu, and Hajredin Kuçi, regarding allegations of unlawful influence on witnesses, Griep stated that on December 2, the single judge approved a prosecution request to obtain further information concerning a report from an external forensic institute. The report relates to the search for a specific statement in digital data extracted from printers and computers allegedly used by Hashim Thaçi in the KSC detention facility.
