Today marks 27 years since the Rezallë Massacre in Rezallë, where 98 Albanian civilians were executed by Serbian military and police forces during the Kosovo War.

The victims, residents of Rezallë and surrounding villages in Skenderaj, included many whose bodies were initially concealed. The remains of 44 victims were later discovered in Rudnicë and returned to their families.

On April 5, 1999, Serbian forces surrounded the homes of these families and executed nearly all the men and young boys. Only three people survived the massacre.

The Rezallë massacre is considered one of the most brutal atrocities of the Kosovo war, and it remains a deeply painful symbol of the suffering endured by civilians.
