The spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valmir Elezi, announced that the application period for political entities seeking certification and submitting candidate lists for the upcoming parliamentary elections of the Republic of Kosovo, scheduled for February 9, 2025, has concluded.
Elezi stated that during this period (September 1 – December 11, 2024, 23:59), 28 political entities applied. These include: 20 political parties; 5 coalitions; 2 civic initiatives; and 1 independent candidate.
The total number of candidates for the position of Member of Parliament representing these political entities is 1,280.

- VETËVENDOSJE Movement! (LVV) – 110 candidates
- Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) – 110 candidates
- Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) – 110 candidates
- Srpska Lista – 48 candidates
- Srpski Narodni Pokret – 12 candidates
- Fjala – 22 candidates
- Egyptian Liberal Party (PLE) – 60 candidates
- New Democratic Party (NDS) – 46 candidates
- New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo (IRDK) – 41 candidates
- Social Democratic Union (SDU) – 40 candidates
- Kosovo Democratic Turkish Party (KDTP) – 25 candidates
- Innovative Turkish Movement Party (YTHP) – 25 candidates
- Jedinstvena Goranka Party (JGP) – 29 candidates
- Party of Ashkali Integration (PAI) – 35 candidates
- Serb Democratic Party (SD) – 13 candidates
- Kosovo Serbian Party (PKS) – 9 candidates
- Za Slobodu Pravdu i Opstanak (SPO) – 12 candidates

All applications will be reviewed by the Office for Political Party Registration and Certification, which will submit the corresponding recommendations to the CEC.
In order to implement Article 30 of Law No. 08/L-228 on General Elections, the Central Election Commission will request the relevant authorities to conduct the necessary verifications regarding the eligibility and suitability of the candidates for certification to participate in the elections.
