PRISHTINA – The Basic Court in Prishtina has ordered 30 days of pre-trial detention for Zhelko Jagodiq and Mihajllo Mihajlloviq, two Serbian citizens suspected in connection with a high-value property fraud case.
The decision was issued during a court hearing in Prishtina, following a request by prosecutor Zef Prendrecaj.
According to authorities, the two suspects were arrested on Wednesday after a months-long investigation conducted by the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina into allegations of property misappropriation and other criminal offenses.
Investigators believe the suspects attempted to sell a property valued at around €2 million in the Veternik area.
Earlier, the prosecution confirmed that the two individuals, identified by the initials M.M. and Z.J., were initially detained for 48 hours on suspicion of fraud, document forgery, and legalization of false content. The investigation is linked to a 56-are land parcel in Veternik.
During investigative actions, authorities seized several items believed to be connected to the case, including:
- One vehicle valued between €50,000 and €60,000
- €20,000 in cash
- Various property documents suspected to be forged
- Four mobile phones, which are expected to serve as material evidence in the ongoing investigation.
The case remains under investigation as prosecutors continue gathering evidence related to the suspected fraud scheme.
