“Today, as we mark the 30th anniversary of the official founding of the Kosovo Liberation Army – the most successful popular movement for our freedom and independence – fate has placed me in The Hague, visiting two of the brightest symbols of our struggle for liberation and independence, Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli,” Krasniqi wrote.

The Hague: A Meeting with Our Heroes

Today, as we mark the 30th anniversary of the official founding of the Kosovo Liberation Army – the most successful popular movement for our freedom and independence – fate has placed me in The Hague, visiting two of the brightest symbols of our struggle for liberation and independence, Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli.

These leaders, along with countless patriots, sacrificed everything so Kosovo could breathe the air of freedom. With the same fire in their hearts, they remain steadfast today, bearing the weight of history and the hopes of our state, defending our people’s fight for freedom.

Their strength and dignity in the face of adversity are a testament to the values for which we fought as a people. Their resilience in The Hague inspires all of us to continue their mission: building a stronger, more developed, and better Kosovo.

On this special day, as we honor the UÇK and all those who made the greatest sacrifices for our freedom, we stand beside Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi, and every patriot who carried the torch of the liberation struggle.

Now, more than ever, we are certain: The sun will rise again!
