American Airlines has issued a travel alert for 46 airports due to an incoming winter storm expected to impact the Midwest and East Coast of the United States.
The alert includes airports in several states, ranging from Kansas and Missouri to Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The U.S. is preparing for a severe winter storm, which may bring the heaviest snowfall and the coldest temperatures since 2011. Around 30 states are under weather alerts.
