49 Wildfires Reported Across Kosovo, 7 Still Active – Emergency Agency Urges Caution

Today, a total of 49 wildfire incidents have been recorded across Kosovo, according to the latest data from the Republic Emergency Operations Center (QOER112).

Of these, 42 fires have been successfully contained thanks to the rapid and professional response of the Firefighting and Rescue Units, while 7 fires remain active and efforts continue to bring them under control.

The Emergency Management Agency (AME) has urged citizens to exercise maximum caution and avoid any activities that could spark fires, especially during periods of high temperatures and strong winds.

AME also called for immediate reporting of any fire incidents or suspected arson through emergency numbers: 112, 193, and 192.

The agency expressed special appreciation for the dedication and work of professional firefighting units, who continue to operate tirelessly to protect lives, property, and the environment.
