The Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, has reacted to the EU’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell, after the latter congratulated the new government of Serbia, part of which includes two ministers sanctioned for corruption by the US.
Konjufca wrote on X network that the EU eagerly awaits to work with the Serbian government, while it is reluctant to lift the measures against Kosovo, imposed last year.
“It is regrettable to hear that the EU is eagerly waiting to work with the Serbian government, including Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, who is under US sanctions for his close ties with Russia, while they are still unwilling to lift the unfair measures against Kosovo,” Konjufca wrote.
Yesterday, Borrell congratulated the new Prime Minister of Serbia, Millosh Vučeviq, and Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, saying, “I can hardly wait to work with you to move Serbia forward on the path to the EU.”
