Kosovo Assembly Deputy Chair Vlora Çitaku, from PDK, commemorated NATO’s intervention during the Kosovo war, calling it decisive for the country’s freedom. She expressed gratitude to the martyrs and international allies, emphasizing that Kosovo today is a free country with a future.
In her full post, Çitaku wrote:
“Forever, thank you! 27 years ago today, NATO intervened militarily to protect the people of Kosovo and our right to dignity and freedom.
Thanks to the liberation war, the political wisdom of the leadership at the time, and the determination of our allies, the dream of generations became reality.
Kosovo, a legacy of blood and sacrifice, today is our daily reality — a free country, full of hope and with a future.
Forever grateful to those who gave everything for our freedom, and to the international friends who stood with us in the darkest hours of our history.
Glory to the martyrs! Thank you, NATO!”
