Albanian fans supporting Kosovo in Thursday’s match against Slovakia in Bratislava will have a designated area to display state symbols.
Kosovo national team manager Bajram Shala stated at a press conference that Kosovo’s symbols will be allowed only in the official fan section, known as the “Dardanet.”
“In the section where the ‘Dardans’ will be seated, Kosovo’s state symbols will be permitted, but not in other parts of the stadium. This decision was made by the Football Federation of Slovakia,” Shala said.
The Slovakia – Kosovo match kicks off at 20:45 and is a World Cup 2026 playoff semifinal. Similar security and organizational rules were applied during the Slovenia – Kosovo match in November of last year.
