Finance Minister Hekuran Murati provided details on who will receive the 13th salary following the government’s approval of its implementation.

Speaking at a government meeting, Murati emphasized that the 13th salary is designated for public sector employees paid from the Kosovo Budget.

Employees who have completed a full 12 months of service in the public sector will receive the full 13th salary. Those with less than a year of service will receive a proportional amount based on the months worked.

Murati noted that, in such cases, the Treasury will ensure payments are calculated fairly, with each month of work accounted for. The same principle applies to part-time employees, with the 13th salary based on the average monthly salary over the past 12 months.

Additionally, women on maternity leave will be treated as if they were working full-time, ensuring they receive the full 13th salary.

Finally, Murati clarified that individuals who are suspended, either currently or at any point during the year, will not be included among the beneficiaries of the 13th salary.
