The United States Embassy has shared several photos showing the atmosphere inside its diplomatic mission ahead of the most important football match in Kosovo’s history, taking place tonight in Pristina.
In one of the photos, the Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, Anu Prattipati, is seen wearing the Kosovo national football team jersey.
Ahead of the World Cup 2026 play-off final between Kosovo and Turkey, the U.S. Embassy expressed its support for Kosovo’s football players with an encouraging message:
“From all of us at the United States Embassy, we support you – play hard and make Kosovo proud!”
This message reflects not only the diplomatic support that the young state has received from the U.S., but also a closeness of American representatives to the collective emotions of Kosovars ahead of the match, which is experienced as a historic opportunity for the country.
