U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the entire country of Iran could be destroyed in a single night, warning that this could happen as soon as tomorrow, NBC News reports via Reporteri.net.

Trump made the statement at the start of a press conference at the White House.

“The entire country could be destroyed in one night, and that night could be tomorrow night,” Trump said.

He has also issued an ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 8:00 PM Eastern Time tomorrow; otherwise, he warned of widespread destruction to its infrastructure.

“Tuesday, April 7, will be the Day of the Power Plant and the Day of the Bridge, all in one, in Iran. Something like this has never happened before! Open that cursed strait, you crazy bastards, or you will live in hell—you will see,” Trump wrote on his platform Truth Social.

Meanwhile, Iran has rejected the U.S. proposal for a temporary ceasefire. Its response, communicated via Pakistan, includes demands for an end to regional conflicts, the creation of a safe passage protocol for the Strait of Hormuz, and the lifting of sanctions.
