Ukraine has bombed the port where the Russian Black Sea fleet has moved.

The Russian port of Novorossiysk, which has become an important base for the Black Sea Fleet after repeated attacks on its headquarters in Crimea, has been targeted by Ukrainian drones.

It is understood that this attack comes after reports from the UK Ministry of Defense indicating that Russia has strengthened defenses in the port to protect its fleet from possible Ukrainian attacks.

Even days ago, the oil terminal in the Russian port was attacked by Volodymyr Zelensky’s army, giving the Russians another blow to the oil industry.

Footage of the attack on him recently appeared on social networks and shows two Ukrainian drones flying over the port, writes yahoonews.

Residents of Novorossiysk said they heard more than 35 explosions in the city.

Traffic in that area has been blocked and public transport has been stopped.

It appears that the attack in Novorossiysk was part of Ukraine’s largest ever drone attack.

Otherwise, in 2023, Russia moved most of its Black Sea fleet ships from occupied Crimea to Novorossiysk after a series of Ukrainian attacks, including a significant missile attack on the fleet headquarters in Sevastopol.

The port of Novorossiysk is a strategic hub for oil exports and maritime operations.

The latest series of attacks targeting the Russian oil industry includes a confirmed drone attack by Ukrainian forces on an oil base in the Rostov Region on May 15.
