Political entities across Kosovo have until midnight tonight to finalize and submit their lists of candidates for the upcoming snap parliamentary elections, scheduled for June 7, 2026.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) confirmed that the 11-day window for certification will officially close at 24:00 on Tuesday, May 12.

CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi noted that the submission process is being conducted via an electronic platform, mirroring the system utilized during the previous elections held in December of last year.

“Today at midnight, the 11-day period concludes for political parties, coalitions, citizen initiatives, and independent candidates to submit their names for certification,” Elezi stated.

By the Numbers: 27 Entities Set to Compete

According to the CEC, a total of 27 political entities have expressed intent to participate in the June race. This field is slightly narrower than the regular elections held in early 2025 but remains highly competitive.
