Honduras is one of the 68 countries that abstained in the General Assembly of the United Nations for the resolution that declared July 11 as the International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica, a crime for which Serbia is responsible.

10 days later, the news came out to the public that Serbia has helped Honduras with a donation worth half a million dollars.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enrique Reina, has announced that Serbia has donated 500 thousand dollars to Honduras as a donation for a hospital involved in the fire.

For the former diplomats of Kosovo, the fact that Serbia carried out activities in third countries, mainly helping them economically, is not new. Emir Abrashi, who for a while served as an advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says that they have often allocated scholarships to students from African countries as a strategy to ensure support.

According to him, currently Kosovo is not reaping success in foreign policy due to the lack of lobbying and contracting strategy, especially for lobbying companies.

“The first is related to the lack of functionality of the foreign service of Kosovo, which is due to the thoughtless policies of Minister Gërvalla. Due to the lack of coherence in foreign policy, due to the lack of coordination with foreign policy,” Abrashi stated.

However, according to Abrashi, in cases such as membership in the Council of Europe where the votes are related to other issues, there is no strategy and there are divisions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and deficiencies in diplomatic missions.

“The key positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are held by people who come from the Ministry of Diaspora and who do not even have diplomatic ranks and who to a large extent do not even have experience in foreign policy,” Abrashi continued
