European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has reacted to the latest attacks by Iran and the United States in the Middle East region through a post on “X,” emphasizing that the strikes are further complicating negotiations aimed at ending the war.

“The exchange of fire between the US and Iran further complicates the already tense talks to end the war. Iran’s attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait are unacceptable,” Kallas wrote in a post on the X platform.

Next Monday, EU foreign ministers will meet with their Gulf counterparts to discuss how they can work together to support the implementation of the agreement and preserve freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea.

The U.S. military has launched a new wave of attacks against Iran and revoked a license that had allowed Iran to sell oil after three tankers were targeted with missiles in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Abcnews.al.

Meanwhile, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) said airlines should not operate in Iranian and Iraqi airspace due to ongoing tensions and the possibility of further military actions.
