Ramush Haradinaj, former Prime Minister of Kosovo and leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), has paid tribute to the Bytyqi brothers—American citizens who joined the Kosovo Liberation Army during the Kosovo War.
Haradinaj said that Agron, Ylli, and Mehmet Bytyqi left behind the American dream to answer the call of their homeland during one of the most critical periods in Kosovo’s history.
“Today and every day, we share the pain and pride of the Bytyqi family, with father Ahmet, Mrs. Bahrije, and the veterans of the ‘Atlantiku’ Brigade. Their pain is our pain, while the pride in their sons is a pride shared by the entire nation,” Haradinaj wrote.
He concluded his message by honoring the brothers’ sacrifice, stating:
“Glory to their lives and legacy!”
