U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States will ultimately secure Iran’s underground nuclear material, while warning that anyone attempting to access it would face severe consequences.

Speaking during a press conference at the NATO Summit, Trump criticized Iran’s leadership, saying they were not serving their people well based on their actions over the past one to two weeks, according to the BBC.

Trump also said he does not believe a full-scale conflict will resume.

“Whatever happens will end very quickly,” he said.

The U.S. president repeated earlier remarks that the United States could launch strikes against Iran if necessary.

He further stated that anyone approaching Iran’s underground nuclear material would “be blown up,” adding that the United States would eventually “take it.”

Trump’s comments come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran following recent military threats and warnings from both sides, raising international concerns about further escalation in the Middle East.
