The Ukrainian president’s chief of staff, Volodymyr Zelensky, has said that using Western weapons to strike inside Russia was a vital decision that would affect Moscow’s tactical aviation and its offensive capability in border regions.
“This will affect the conduct of the war, the planning of counteroffensive actions and will weaken the Russians’ ability to use their forces in the border areas,” Andriy Yermak said on Telegram.
Russia has said the move would mark an escalation of the conflict and has threatened war with NATO if Western weapons are used in its airspace, writes Sky News.
