A high-level delegation from the Kosovo Police, led by Director General Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, participated in the Annual Chiefs of Police Convention held at the Europol headquarters in The Hague.
Hoxha was accompanied by the Director of the Investigations Department, the Director of the International Cooperation Directorate and Kosovo’s liaison officer to Europol.
The convention, organized by Europol and the Irish Presidency of the European Union, brought together representatives from EU member states and partner countries to discuss emerging security challenges and ways to strengthen international cooperation in the fight against organized crime.
Key topics included strengthening international cooperation against organized crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, money laundering, the misuse of digital financial services and emerging forms of financial crime.
During the convention, the Kosovo Police delegation also held a series of bilateral meetings with senior representatives of partner police forces and international law-enforcement institutions.
Bilateral meetings were held with representatives of the police forces of the Netherlands, Greece, Hungary and Israel, as well as with the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL).
The discussions focused on security and bilateral police cooperation, as well as the exchange of experience and best practices aimed at strengthening the professionalism and operational capacities of police organizations.
The Kosovo Police delegation also visited the Embassy of Kosovo in the Netherlands, where it was received by Ambassador Dren Doli. Discussions focused on security institutions and advancing cooperation between the Kosovo Police and international institutions.
The Kosovo Police said its participation in the convention demonstrated its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and improving its capabilities to address evolving security challenges at the global level.
