A bomb threat has been reported in Paris today after police discovered a “suspicious object” near the venues hosting the Olympic Games.
The area surrounding the train station at “Porte de Paris” in Saint-Denis has been cordoned off by police, who are awaiting the arrival of bomb disposal specialists, according to Bild.
The train station, located close to the Stade de France where the Olympic events are taking place, has been shut down due to the potential threat.
At the time of the alert, the stadium was empty as the first session of the day had concluded at 1:00 PM. The afternoon session was scheduled to begin at 5:40 PM, with hundreds of sports fans expected to head to the stadium.
It is still uncertain whether all Olympic events in this area will proceed as planned.
