Hezbollah’s response to Israeli attacks will be strong and effective, said Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the powerful Lebanese militant group, on Tuesday.
He was speaking during a speech marking the one-week memorial for the group’s senior military commander Fuad Shukr, who was killed in an Israeli attack last week in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The Hezbollah chief stated that his group and Iran were “obliged to respond” to Israel “regardless of the consequences” following the recent killings of Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
