Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has stated that the issue of opening the Ibër Bridge for vehicle traffic has been resolved since 2016.
He mentioned that this is no longer a matter of dialogue.
Sveçla was seen with the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, inspecting the bridge.
He explained that the inspection is being conducted in two phases.
“The inspection is in two phases; we are in the process, acting according to the plan that we are sharing with our collaborators, and I see nothing out of the ordinary. The issue has been settled since 2016. It is not a matter of dialogue at all. It is a matter of the right to open the bridge and a decision that is already public,” Sveçla told reporters.
Regarding today’s protest by Serbs in the north against the opening of the Ibër Bridge, Sveçla said that all citizens have the right to protest.
