The Kosovo Police have issued a statement regarding today’s events in the north of the country, where two Serbian politicians were reportedly arrested.

According to the Police, the individuals obstructed workers who were contracted and engaged by the competent authorities to clean nationalist graffiti with provocative and hateful messages near the bridge. The individuals were repeatedly warned not to obstruct the work and to leave, but they continued, which led to heightened tensions.

Police units subsequently escorted the two individuals to the police station for questioning, after which they were released.
