A day after a preliminary report stated that the Iber Bridge is “stable,” NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR) has deployed armored vehicles on it today.
In addition to the armored vehicles positioned on the bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica, KFOR is also inspecting the area with dogs.
Members of KFOR’s K9 unit have been seen patrolling with dogs both on and beneath the bridge.
Meanwhile, work has continued today on the Iber Bridge in Mitrovica, including on and around the bridge, under the presence of KFOR units and the Kosovo Police.
On Tuesday, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Hysen Durmishi stated that they had received the initial report on the bridge, which according to him says that the bridge over the Ibar River in the north is “stable and functional” and can be used without any load restrictions.
