Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, has announced that following the closure of Serbian Post branches in the north, Kosovo’s Post and Telecommunications (PTK) has opened its own branches and started postal services there.

Krasniqi stated that citizens in North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavić, and Zvečan can now carry out various institutional payments through these new PTK branches.

After the Government meeting, he also informed that the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MAPL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the organization “Jetimët e Ballkanit” for co-financing the construction of houses in these four municipalities.

“On Monday, MAPL signed a memorandum of understanding with the organization ‘Jetimët e Ballkanit’ for co-financing houses in North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavić, and Zvečan. This co-financing comes in response to the high number of applicants. According to the agreement, around 102 houses will be built by MAPL and 100 additional houses by the organization,” Krasniqi stated.

“Additionally, municipal cadastral offices have been operationalized to ensure that citizens do not face issues with property matters. Also, to allow businesses to register and benefit from government support measures, we have opened offices of the Kosovo Business Registration Agency.”

“Kosovo Post has opened its branches in the four municipalities, providing postal services as well as payments for vehicle registration, traffic fines, and personal documents,” Krasniqi emphasized.
