NATO’s mission in Kosovo, KFOR, has announced that Italian soldiers have conducted regular patrols along the border line in the Istog municipality.
These patrols are part of KFOR’s daily activities.
“These patrols are part of KFOR’s daily activities to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for the benefit of all communities living in Kosovo,” reads the announcement on Facebook.
Is this a good response to Serbia, which is attempting to interfere in Kosovo’s relations with the international community?
Regarding this issue, former KLA commander Hafir Hoxha spoke to “Bota sot.”
He says that these patrols show Serbia once again that it must resolve its issues with Kosovo through dialogue and that Serbia’s military intervention is not allowed.
“This is a response to Serbia that all problems it has with Kosovo must be resolved through dialogue, and it is made clear that Serbia’s military intervention to achieve its goals by force will not be tolerated,” he stated.
Furthermore, the former commander emphasizes that the EU and NATO are not under Russian influence, and this shows that everything should be achieved through dialogue.
“Serbia may change its borders with Kosovo, but first, everything must be done through dialogue with the USA, the EU, and NATO, which guarantees that there will be no Russian influence in the Balkans. Becoming a part of NATO and the EU will make it a small matter for the reconsideration of borders, as part of the north has already been reserved for the resolution of the Balkan problem,” Hoxha concluded for “Bota sot.”
