For the first time, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has organized the Basic Infantry Officer Course at the Officers’ School of the Defense Academy.

In connection with this, the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, together with the KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, visited the Vrella Camp, where the course is currently being conducted.

“Based on the priorities of the KSF Command for the development of education programs, the Kosovo Security Force is, for the first time domestically, organizing the Basic Infantry Officer Course (KBOK) at the Officers’ School of the Defense Academy. The mission of this course is to train and develop infantry officers to be mentally, physically, and morally prepared to lead infantry units,” stated the Ministry of Defense in a press release.

KBOK is a 13-week course that trains new officers in advanced tactical infantry skills and battlefield leadership. It also assesses leadership potential and qualifies candidates for leadership roles in the infantry field.

“The key tasks that will be executed during this course include tactical maneuvering, synchronization of light infantry assets, physical preparation, and precise firing with light infantry weapons,” the ministry further announced.
