The Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports has announced that molds for the production of jewelry and vessels from the Bronze Age have been discovered at the archaeological site in Hisar, Therande.
“The archaeological site in Hisar, Therande serves as a repository for studying the prehistory of Kosovo and the Balkans. During excavations near this site, significant discoveries have been made that attest to the continuity of Illyrian-Dardanian populations during the Bronze and Iron Ages. One of the most important findings is the discovery of several molds used for producing jewelry as well as vessels.” The Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports (MCYS) stated that the ongoing excavations at this site have provided valuable data on the Late Eneolithic culture and the Illyrian-Dardanian period in several areas of the site.
“The excavations being conducted by the Kosovo Institute of Archaeology at this site have yielded important information about the Late Eneolithic culture, as well as the Illyrian-Dardanean period in various zones of the site.”
