The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stated that the police and intelligence services facilitated the failure of the plans of groups who, last weekend, were stopping citizens at the border with Kosovo, on Serbian territory.

Kurti said in today’s Government meeting that the police and intelligence “worked minute by minute.”

“We saw once again at the end of last week who is in favor of closing and restricting. Masked groups near the Serbian Police, at the border with the Republic of Kosovo but on Serbian territory, were acting as border police, stopping vehicles and questioning travelers to determine their ethnic affiliation. During those days, our institutions, police, and intelligence worked minute by minute to ensure that the plans and intentions of these groups failed, as indeed happened,” said Kurti.

He added that “there is a lot of work being done, which is not well known in the public and is not discussed much publicly,” referring to this case.

“With this occasion, I would like to express a special thanks to all our police officers and agents who take care and ensure that the public and citizens see and experience only positive results, despite the bad plans that are aimed at, but do not materialize and are never known,” said Kurti.
