The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, commemorated the 26th anniversary of the Battle of Kaqanoll.
In a Facebook post, Haradinaj stated that the Battle of Kaqanoll was one of the most significant.
“26 years ago, one of the most important battles of the liberation war began. The sound of gunfire from the Llap Operational Zone was a bad sign for the enemy. In the Battle of Kaqanoll, they realized that the spirit instilled by Zahiri, Hakifi, and Iliri not only remained alive but would also be destructive to their evil plans,” said Haradinaj.
Haradinaj also remembered the heroes from the Llap Operational Zone.
“Today, we bow with respect before the martyrs who gave their lives: Bekim Maliqi, Bekim Lushaku, Habib Zeka, Nazmi Zhegrova, Fadil Sejdiu, Islam and Selim Rekaliu. Their memory makes us stronger and more determined to restore hope for our citizens. Eternal glory,” he expressed.
