Yesterday, the head of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, was honored by the Mayor of Yonkers, Mike Spano, with the city’s recognition.
Regarding this, Haradinaj expressed that he felt highly valued.
“In a special ceremony in the city of Yonkers, New York, the Mayor, Mr. Mike Spano, awarded me the City’s Recognition. At the same time, he officially declared October 20, 2024, as ‘The Honored Day of Ramush Haradinaj,’ with the motivation: ‘In recognition of his long-standing service to his country and his dedication to improving economic and cultural development, as well as in public service.’ During this ceremony, Mayor Spano also declared October 20, 2024, as the official day of raising the Kosovo flag in the city of Yonkers,” Haradinaj wrote on Facebook.
“This recognition is not only an appreciation for me but for all those who believe in a free, developed, and NATO-integrated Kosovo, and in the unwavering friendship between our people and the American people. I dedicate this recognition to my fellow fighters in the ranks of the KLA and to every American soldier who served in Kosovo. This award is a testament to our shared efforts for a better and stronger Kosovo.”
