The Spanish government has announced three days of mourning starting tomorrow, as reported by Ángel Victor Torres, the minister responsible for territorial policy.
At least 64 people have died due to flooding, with several others still missing, according to The Guardian.
Meanwhile, AEMET, the state meteorological agency in Spain, stated that heavy rain in Valencia is expected to diminish today but noted that some areas in the region remain on alert.
The storm has moved northward, prompting warnings for the northeastern region of Catalonia. Heavy rainfall is also expected in parts of southern Spain.
“Be cautious in the northeastern peninsula and western Andalusia: very heavy rain may occur,” the agency wrote on social media.
