Moscow has denied claims on Saturday of being behind a fake video related to the American elections, following statements from US intelligence suggesting that Russia is linked to a video featuring a Haitian immigrant claiming to have voted multiple times.

Three US intelligence agencies reported on Friday that “Russian influence actors” created the video as part of Moscow’s broader efforts to cast doubt on the integrity of American elections.

In a statement, these agencies asserted that Russian actors were responsible for the fabricated video.

“We have noted the statement from US intelligence services, which accuse our country of creating fabricated videos regarding electoral violations in the United States. We view these accusations as unfounded,” said the Russian Embassy in the United States in a post on Telegram.

The 20-second clip shows a man speaking in a robotic manner, stating, “We are from Haiti. We arrived in America six months ago, we already have American citizenship and we are voting for Kamala Harris.”

Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, a senior official in this swing state, commented on Friday that the video is an example of “targeted disinformation,” as reported by REL.

Raffensperger described the video as “clearly fake,” likely produced by the “Russian fake news factory.”

On the other hand, the Russian Embassy stated that Russia has not provided any evidence to support the claims made by US officials.

The presidential elections in the United States are scheduled for November 5.
