Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, recently met with Hungary’s Minister for European Union Affairs, Janos Boka, to discuss the current political and security situation, strengthening bilateral relations, the European integration process, and regional stability.
During the meeting, President Osmani highlighted Kosovo’s positive example in the region, citing its significant progress in strengthening the rule of law, fighting corruption, tackling organized crime, improving transparency, and promoting good governance.
Osmani emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to European Union (EU) integration and urged Boka’s support for advancing Kosovo’s EU candidacy application. She also stressed the necessity of lifting the EU’s sanctions against Kosovo, noting that they are unjust and negatively affect the interests of Kosovo’s citizens.
The President also reiterated Kosovo’s dedication to a thorough and professional investigation of the recent terrorist attack in Zubin Potok. She emphasized the importance of international unity to prevent further terrorist activities from criminal groups that are supported, trained, and funded by Serbia.
