A group of around 300 Serbian students from Kosovo, who were traveling to Serbia for a weekend trip sponsored by Milan Radojičić, were involved in a serious traffic accident in Kraljevo, Serbia. The accident occurred when the bus carrying the students collided with another vehicle, leaving several students injured. The driver of the other vehicle sustained severe injuries.

The students, from the municipalities of Novo Berde, Viti, Gjilan, and Kamenicë, were on a trip funded by Radojičić, a well-known figure who has considerable influence over the Serbian community in Kosovo. The group had been accommodated at Hotel “Braća Sekulić” in Zlatibor, a popular destination in Serbia. While the trip was promoted as a humanitarian gesture to give students from the Serbian community in Kosovo a break, it also raised concerns about Radojičić’s increasing control over the community through such donations.

Radojičić is not just a prominent figure in Kosovo’s Serbian community—he is also a controversial one, with deepening allegations linking him to criminal activities. He is believed to be responsible for the 2023 attack in Banske, Kosovo, where several people were injured. This attack has led to a formal request for his extradition from Kosovo authorities, further tarnishing his reputation. As a result, the trip he sponsored, which seemed to be a charitable gesture, now raises alarms about his ulterior motives and the safety risks involved in supporting such events.

The weekend trip, initially seen as a gesture of goodwill, now casts a shadow on Radojičić’s motives, especially in light of the tragic accident. The incident has led to questions about the safety of such events and the risks taken by parents, students, and educators who entrusted their children to these activities. Many are now questioning whether these initiatives are really for the benefit of the community or simply a way for Radojičić to further consolidate his power over Kosovo’s Serbian population, using his influence to foster loyalty while manipulating vulnerable individuals.

The tragic accident has sparked public outrage and concern about the safety protocols surrounding such sponsored events. Authorities in Serbia, Ministry of Interior initially in their primary report did not disclose that the ones involved in the accident are Kosovo Serb citizens, this was later uncovered by the media. While the human cost of this tragedy is evident, it highlights a deeper issue about the risks involved when powerful figures manipulate community events for personal or political gain.

This incident raises concerns not only about the physical safety of young people under Radojičić’s control but also about the broader implications of his influence. The tragic crash underscores the potential dangers of unchecked power over vulnerable populations, especially when it is used for personal or political leverage, potentially at the cost of the lives and safety of the very people one claims to help.

Radojičić’s alleged involvement in criminal activities and his growing dominance over Kosovo’s Serbian community cast a troubling shadow over the event he sponsored, further heightening fears about the risks his influence poses to those under his control.
