President Vjosa Osmani met with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, during her participation in the EU-Western Balkans Summit yesterday.
Osmani shared that during their discussion, they covered topics related to reforms and Kosovo’s progress in key areas such as democracy, rule of law, and security.
The President emphasized the importance of advancing Kosovo’s EU application and called for the immediate removal of EU measures that are harming the citizens of Kosovo. She also highlighted the need for accountability regarding the terrorist attacks and the act of aggression from the previous year.
Before the meeting, President Osmani expressed her disappointment with how some EU member states are treating Kosovo.
“The main reason is the lack of progress in removing the measures against Kosovo, which are still in place. And as we have seen in the conclusions, which we expect to accept, it doesn’t seem like they will be lifted this December,” Osmani stated to the media.
