Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Minister of Health Arben Vitia visited the first two babies born in 2025, shortly after midnight, marking the start of the New Year.
Kurti, who shared photos from the hospital, stated that both the mothers and the babies were in good health.
“Immediately after midnight, we joined in the joy of Mrs. Teuta for her daughter Poema and Mrs. Fortesa for her son Diamanti, who were the first to be born at the turn of the year. Both the mothers and babies were in very good health. We wished them prosperity and a long life together with their families.”
From there, Kurti praised the government for focusing on financial support for mothers and children.
“We are the government that has had the most focus on policies and financial support for mothers and children, and we will continue to do so in this year that we have just entered. Continuous and increasing investment and support for them is crucial for our people and our future.”
