Richard R. Verma, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, has been welcomed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Verma arrived at the Government of Kosovo building just after Prime Minister Kurti, who had been attending a conference organized by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCA Kosovo) regarding prequalification procedures for the design and construction of large-scale energy storage systems using batteries.
Verma was also received for a meeting by Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani.
The U.S. Department of State has announced that during his visit to Kosovo, Verma will discuss the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia through the EU-facilitated dialogue, strengthening governance and the rule of law, as well as promoting economic growth and energy security for the benefit of all Kosovars.
He will also express his gratitude to the Government of Kosovo for its strong support of Ukraine and its assistance to Afghans in need.
