The National Border Management Center has provided an update on the condition of roads leading to border crossing points in Kosovo.

According to the latest report, all roads are passable for vehicles. However, drivers are required to equip themselves with winter gear due to snow on certain road segments.

Condition of Major Roads

The report highlights the following:

  • Roads such as Mitrovicë – Bërnjak, Gjakovë – Qafë Morinë, Gjakovë – Qafë e Prushit, and Gjilan – Dheu i Bardhë are covered with snow but remain free of ice or landslides.
  • On routes like Mitrovicë – Jarinjë, Pejë – Kullë, Podujevë – Merdar, and Prizren – Vërmicë, traffic is safe for vehicles despite snowy conditions.

Advice for Drivers

Drivers are advised to ensure they have:

  • Tire chains.
  • Winter tires.
  • Additional tools for safe travel in cold weather.

These precautions are necessary to guarantee smooth travel, especially in areas where snow may create challenging driving conditions.
