The EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčak, confirmed that Serbia refused to participate in the first meeting of the Joint Commission on Missing Persons.

Lajčak said that he had met separately with both parties, and according to him, Kosovo presented its priorities.

“Today, we aimed to hold the first meeting of the Joint Commission on Missing Persons at the parliamentary level. I met separately with both parties. Kosovo presented its priorities. Serbia has informed us that they will not participate in the joint meeting due to recent developments in Kosovo,” said Lajčak.

Serbian chief negotiator, Petar Petković, announced during the day that they refused to attend the first meeting of the Joint Commission on Missing Persons following the closure of 10 parallel institutions in Kosovo.
