The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its regular meeting, the 247th in a row, during which it reviewed and approved decisions within its constitutional and legal responsibilities.
The first decision approved in this meeting was the list of items for joint use, which are subject to the central public procurement procedure.
Next, the National Development Plan Draft for the years 2025-2027 was approved.
The meeting continued with the approval of the decision on amendments to tables 3.1 and 3.2 of the Law on Budgetary Allocations for the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo for 2025, in order to fulfill outstanding financial and contractual obligations from the previous year.
After reviewing the request from the Central Election Commission, the government approved the decision to allocate budget funds in the amount of five hundred and twenty-five thousand euros for the implementation of the “Technology for Counting Project” at the Municipal Counting Center and at the Results Counting Center.
A budget of five hundred thousand euros (500,000) was allocated for humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
The government approved the decision to appoint Mr. Arton Ahmeti to the position of Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Labor, and Transfers.
During this meeting, proposals were also approved for expropriation for public interest of real estate affected by the implementation of the following projects: the expansion of the National Road N9 Kijevë-Zahaq, the Dollc-Ramun segment; the expansion of the National Road N2, the “Entrance to the City of Ferizaj” segment; the construction of the Regional Road R-118 Mushtisht-Shtërpcë; and the expansion of the National Road N25, the QMI-Lipjan segment.
The government reviewed and approved the request from the Ministry of Health for the payment of two hundred and twenty-four (224) self-financed specialists and the payment of thirty (30) self-financed specialists from the Presheva Valley and Montenegro.
The government, after reviewing, approved the decision to grant the properties of the Kosovo Forest Agency for use by the Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force. These properties are located in Batllava, the municipality of Podujeva, specifically in the area known as the Surdulli River, which is registered as a social property – the Forest Enterprise.
In today’s meeting, the Organizational Council was established for the celebration of the seventeenth anniversary of Kosovo’s independence. The decision obliges the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, along with the organizational council, to implement this decision.
The government also approved the request from the Municipality of Pristina for the approval of the budget for 2025, after its approval by the municipal assembly, as well as the request from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports for the allocation of budget funds amounting to 5,000 euros for the implementation of the “House No. 10” project in the Old Town of Janjeva, Lipjan.
Next, the decision was approved for the preliminary financial statement for the execution of the budget and the balance of funds for the year 2024.
Among the decisions approved in today’s government meeting is the appointment of an ad-hoc commission for professional evaluation for admission to the high managerial position of Executive Director at the Central Labor Inspectorate.
Additionally, the decision for the appointment of an ad-hoc commission for admission to the high managerial position of General Director of the Agency for the Management of Seized and Confiscated Assets within the Ministry of Justice was also approved by the government cabinet at today’s meeting.
