In an unprecedented response, the Deputy Leader of the Serbian List, Dallibor Jevtić, has publicly warned of destabilization if Albin Kurti regains power and continues his “anti-Serb policies” in Kosovo. This statement threatens to escalate tensions and undermine efforts for peace and stability in the region, potentially placing Kosovo in a period of deeper uncertainty.

Jevtić emphasized that the February 9 elections are “crucial” to “liberate the Serbian people from this regime,” urging the Serbian population to support the Serbian List as a force to remove the Kurti Government. This rhetoric used by Jevtić is an attempt to exert pressure on the Serbian people in Kosovo and stir further divisions and tensions, risking the escalation of the political and social situation in the country.

Jevtić also accused Prime Minister Kurti and his government of pursuing ethnonationalist policies and stripping away the rights of the Serbian minority. However, he has failed to offer any constructive solutions to improve relations between ethnic groups in Kosovo. By escalating these accusations and using harsh language, the Serbian List has heightened the risk of further destabilization at a time when Kosovo needs internal unity to build a peaceful and stable future.

The Serbian List’s strategy is not only a threat to Kosovo’s political stability but also a provocation that could spread tensions throughout the region. Instead of engaging in dialogue and mutual cooperation, the leaders of the Serbian List prefer to escalate the situation, often aligning their agendas with foreign interests, rather than focusing on the general welfare of Kosovo’s citizens.

In this way, the Serbian List is dealing a heavy blow to Kosovo’s efforts to achieve sustainable stability and integrate all communities into a shared society. Their ongoing threats of destabilization represent a direct threat to the peace and security of Kosovo, and it is time for all political leaders in Kosovo to unite against this language of hatred and promote unity and dialogue.
