The Serb community party “Za Slobodu Pravdu i Opstanak” will secure a seat in the Kosovo Assembly, according to preliminary election results.
Eugen Cakolli from the Kosovo Democratic Institute (IKD) stated that, with nearly final results, the Serb List will have nine reserved seats for the Serb community, while Rašić’s party will secure one seat.
He also mentioned that the Bosniak community will have three seats in the upcoming assembly, while the Turkish community will have two. The Egyptian community will hold two seats, while the Roma, Ashkali, and Goran communities will each have one seat.
Cakolli pointed out that, unlike Albanian parties, there is no electoral threshold for minority community parties, and seats are allocated using the D’Hondt method, within the designated quotas for each community.
Cakolli also noted that, due to the minimal number of votes required for minority community parties from abroad, as well as the tendency for conditional votes to follow regular voting trends, there is little chance for different electoral results—except in cases of court decisions.
