Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared that Hungary will never vote for Ukraine’s EU membership, as such a decision would go against Hungary’s national interests. In his annual speech, Orban also discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing that it is not merely a war but a conflict over the territory of Ukraine, which he described as a zone of confrontation between NATO and Russia under NATO’s supervision.

Orban believes that the war is nearing its end but emphasized that the situation is more about territorial conflict than about Ukraine itself. He also expressed confusion as to why European and American liberals expected that the Russians would simply watch the situation unfold without intervening.

“The war is nearing its end. This is not really about Ukraine, but rather about the territory called Ukraine, which has been a zone of conflict between NATO and Russia, under NATO’s supervision,” Orban said. He further stressed that Hungary would never approve Ukraine’s EU membership, explaining that it would threaten Hungary’s agricultural sector and economy.

“Hungary will never vote for Ukraine to be a member of the EU, as it would go against the interests of Hungary and its citizens,” Orban stated.

Orban also accused the United States of exposing the deep corruption and repressive power structures within the liberal world, revealing how billions of dollars have flowed into pseudo-civil organizations, influencing journalists, judges, prosecutors, and politicians.

The Hungarian Prime Minister warned that Hungary must now focus on its own business, stating that the Hungarian government would collect all data and evidence regarding Hungary’s situation, and create constitutional and legal conditions to prevent pseudo-civil organizations from serving foreign interests.

Orban believes Hungary must now engage in a continuous and diversified battle with the leaders of this “empire” in Brussels. He emphasized that although the truth is on Hungary’s side, demonstrating strength is necessary for a successful confrontation.

Hungary is currently fighting five major battles simultaneously with Brussels’ bureaucrats, according to Orban, who described his country as a tolerant, peaceful, and religious nation. He noted that Hungary would protect its sovereignty, especially in regards to migration and the protection of children, which are the country’s biggest concerns.

Orban also confirmed that Hungary’s constitution will stipulate that “a person can only be male or female,” addressing the Budapest Pride organizers and advising them not to waste their time preparing this year’s parade.

“This year will be different for Hungary, as we walk down the main street of history while our opponents wander through muddy suburban side streets,” he said. Orban also expressed that Hungary, once considered heretical, is now seen as the future, citing their resilience: “We are evergreen, like the Rolling Stones,” he declared.
